Frequently asked questions

The product

What is VIA?

VIA (Video Intelligence Assistant) is an AI video production system for YouTube creators. You bring a script; VIA builds a production bible of characters, locations and style, turns every narration beat into a written shot, draws and animates it, and assembles a finished long-form video you review as a film.

How is VIA different from AI video generators?

Generators make one clip at a time and forget everything between prompts. VIA manages the whole production: the same characters, wardrobe, locations and look carry through every scene, each shot is written from its line of the script before it is drawn, and you judge the result as an assembled video rather than a pile of clips.

What kinds of videos is VIA best for?

Video built on a script, with recurring characters and places: history, documentary and travel, education and explainers, story-driven channels and animated stories for children. Pictures can be drawn, real footage, or a mix. It is not built for talking-head vlogs or real-person likenesses.

Do I need to know how to prompt AI models?

No. You write or paste the script and make creative decisions: approve a character, pick a still, reject a take. VIA writes the image and motion prompts from the script and your approved references.

How does VIA keep characters consistent?

Each character gets a reference sheet with front, side and back views and fixed wardrobe. Every scene is drawn from those approved references, and you keep the picture you want or say in plain words what to change. Clips are animated from the approved still, so the face in the video is the face you approved.

Can I finish the video in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro?

Yes. Besides a finished MP4, VIA exports an edit package: one zip holding the timeline (FCPXML or EDL) for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, every take of every scene, the narration, music and ambience on their own tracks, and your character and location references. You can also download just the timeline file. Every scene lands in order and in sync, so you can grade, re-mix, swap takes or recut in the editor you already use.

Can I choose which AI model is used?

No, and that is deliberate. VIA routes each shot to the model that does that kind of shot best and tunes the prompts for it. Holding that choice is how the quality stays consistent across a whole video.

Pricing and beta

How much does VIA cost?

VIA is in private beta, by invitation. Every new studio starts with free welcome credits, and invited creators can buy more as they go. At launch, plans are built around finished video minutes with AI generation included, and we expect them to start at around $99 a month. The exact tiers, included minutes and extra-minute price are being set together with beta creators, so we are not publishing final numbers yet. Beta members get preferential pricing at launch.

Is the private beta free?

Taking part costs nothing, and every new studio starts with free welcome credits. Beyond those, invited creators buy credits for what they make; nothing is charged unless you buy. In return we ask for honest feedback on real productions, which is what shapes the plans at launch.

What is a finished minute?

One minute of video in your exported film. Stills and clips VIA regenerates while getting a scene right do not count against your minutes; only the length of the final cut does. It is the unit a channel is planned around: a ten-minute video is ten minutes.

What happens if I need more than my plan includes?

You keep working. Extra minutes are billed by what they actually use rather than a flat rate, against a monthly cap you set, with the running total visible in the app. The exact rate is being set during the beta.

How do I join the beta?

Apply at viaforcreators.com/beta with your email and the kind of videos you make. VIA is admitting a small number of creators at a time so every production gets proper attention.

Who owns the videos I make with VIA?

You do. Your scripts, characters, references and finished videos are yours to publish and monetize, and we claim no rights over them. One honest caveat, true of every AI tool: in the United States, material generated by AI without meaningful human authorship may not be protectable by copyright, so how much of a finished video you can register is a question of how much of it you shaped.
